About IKEA
IKEA was founded in 1943 by 17-year-old Ingvar Kamprad in Älmhult, in the Småland region of southern Sweden. It started as a small mail-order business selling items such as pens, wallets, and picture frames, and furniture joined the range in 1948. The name combines Kamprad's initials with Elmtaryd, the family farm, and Agunnaryd, the nearby parish. Today IKEA stores operate in more than 60 countries, and the first UK store opened in Warrington in 1987. Shoppers use IKEA for furniture and home furnishing products, and the stores also serve food and drink.

Where can I see my IKEA gift card balance?
You can check your balance online on IKEA's gift cards page or at any IKEA store. The balance shown is an estimate. In most cases it updates immediately after a purchase, but the adjustment can occasionally be delayed.
Can I use my IKEA gift card online and in stores?
Yes. An IKEA gift card can be used at IKEA stores and online, including for food and beverages at stores. If your purchase costs more than the card balance, you can use the card as part payment and pay the difference another way. IKEA gift cards can't be exchanged for cash.
Does an IKEA gift card expire?
